‘She has a good heart : Community invited to celebrate Fayetteville resident s 100th birthday with car parade Rachael Riley, The Fayetteville Observer © Contributed Fayetteville resident Peggie Jackson, who turned 100 on April 5, 2021, is soon when she served with the Women s Army Corps during the 1940s. Fayetteville resident Peggie Jackson just celebrated her birthday Monday.  Though Jackson said she doesn’t feel another year older, her family wants to mark the milestone in a special way.  Jackson is now among the nation’s centenarians    people who live to be 100.  Her family is planning a birthday parade from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. They are inviting community members to decorate their vehicles to drive by to say hello at their mother’s home, which is in the 1400 block of South Reilly Road, past the railroad tracks.
