The Coca Cola company and its partner, Medshare, in collaboration with Federal Government, on Friday donated equipment worth N3 billion to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano under the Safe Birth Initiative (SBI).

A group, the Network on Behavioural Research for Child Survival in Nigeria (NETBRECSIN), said it had elected six leaders for the of Public Health and Community Medicine, West African College of Physicians (WACP); National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN); and Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano.
NETBRECSIN, which started in 2011 with support from the United Nations Children’s Fund, provides direction and leadership in strengthening partnerships between training institutions and key stakeholders for improved primary health care in Nigeria.
A statement by the network’s Chairman, Prof. Bayo Onajole, and Secretary, Alphonsus Isara, stated that the six leaders were top medical scholars with decades of teaching and research experiences in medicine.
