The beauty at JW Anderson last season was a lesson in elegant simplicity. It’s perhaps no surprise, then, that viral make-up brand Merit – known for its effortless approach – was recruited to create the autumn/winter 2024 look. However, this season, simplicity came with a twist. The brief? “Strong, tough beauty.” This translated as a statement lip that “transformed a selection of these models into powerful characters”, explains make-up artist Lynsey Alexander.
