Edenfield s Career Day Leads Noles to a Run-Rule Win Over Georgia Tech

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Michaela Edenfield's six-RBI day helped the No. 7 Florida State softball team (28-7, 7-1) to an 8-0 run-rule victory over Georgia Tech (17-17, 2-9) on Saturday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field. The Noles clinched its third ACC series of the season and have now won 25 straight games against the Yellow Jackets. After a scoreless first inning, Jahni Kerr walked, and Katie Dack singled to put runners on first and second for Edenfield with two outs. Edenfield hit one through left side for her first RBI of the day to give the Noles a 1-0 lead. Ali DuBois got the start for the Noles in the circle and was terrific holding the Yellow Jackets to just one hit through four innings to maintain the Noles' 1-0 lead. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida State softball team (13-3) won both of their games on the second day of the Unconquered Invitational with a shutout 4-0 win against Lamar University (3-12) followed up with a 7-2 victory over Florida Gulf Coast (7-9) Friday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field. Jahni Kerr wasted no time in her first at bat against Lamar hitting a double to left field with the bases loaded, allowing Katie Dack and Kalei Harding to score in the first inning. Michaela Edenfield put a ball in play to bring in Hallie Wacaser to give the Noles a commading 3-0 lead after the first inning. After a quiet second inning, the Seminoles scored again when Wacaser scored her second run of the game from a Devyn Flaherty single to center field.
