business@tribtoday.com WARREN Automobile dealers in the Mahoning Valley performed well in February, posting a gain of 3.7 percent from the previous year after a slow start to 2021. The latest data from the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association shows new car sales last month led the way for the increase, rising 10.5 percent, enough to overcome a 3.9 percent decline in used vehicle sales. Still, the industry lags from numbers it achieved last year. Overall sales remain 8.5 percent off the pace set in the first two months of 2020, before the viral outbreak hampered the industry. The new and used vehicle segments are down for the two-month, period, too 2.2 percent in new and 15.4 percent in used, according to the association.
