The incident has sparked outrage among netizens, who expressed concerns about the increasing “hooliganism” on Bengaluru roads. One resident told BM, “There are instances when auto drivers get into fights with other drivers. But in general, I feel policemen aren’t very firm against those picking up fights on the road or even when someone breaks rules endangering others.”
“We inspected the stretch and have decided to write to Bengaluru City Police about the issue. A portion of the road is being used by auto and cab drivers to park and urinate in the open. We are requesting the enforcement department to penalise these people and stop such activities,” said a BSCL official.
