University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance will present the 2015 Tony Award-winning drama, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.” Based on the best-selling book of the same name written by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, this play follows a neurodivergent boy as he tries to solve the mystery concerning the death of his neighbor’s dog.
CCISD
The Copper Country Intermediate School District Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting virtually on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Superintendent Stockero shared with the board that two Copper Country stories have made their way to other states and the CCISD had received calls asking about them. The first calls came from schools in Colorado and Florida. They had read about the Tiny House that the CTE construction class completed. The Colorado and Florida schools thought the project was great and wanted to understand the process so they could try to replicate the project.
The next call came from an Autism Specialist from a school district in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. The Twin City superintendent shared the news article about the Core Board with the staff and they decided it is something they would like to implement as well. The CCISD Autism consultant did a virtual meeting with the Autism Consultant from Minnesota. They discussed what the board was made out of and how th
