MILFORD — On Saturday, April 27, Milford Regional welcomed individuals with autism and their families/caregivers to a “no-needle” blood draw event at the main hospital in Milford.
Because equal and quality access to care is so important, making sure medical practices improve access and accommodations for people with autism is a crucial goal of the Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM).
This month, as we mark Autism Awareness Month, I traveled to the Dexter area to shine a light on one mother's quest to help children with autism learn when traditional teaching methods don't work.
