Down in philadelphia germantown neighborhood and thats where fox 29 is live you spoke with neighbors who are very upset. Reporter yes lose see. They are shaken up of course they are relieved fort officer this was an off duty Philadelphia Housing Authority officer involved in this. You can see over my shoulder the scene is now clear. Lets take a look at video earlier as detective were comb mink the crime scene of the the officer was walking along the 400 block of school house lane. Two men approached him they had a weapon. They tried to rob the officer according to police. Thats when the off duty Housing Authority officer pulled out his weapon the two sides exchanged gunfire. One suspect was shot several times later pronounced dead at temple hospital. The other suspected escaped. And he is on the loose. We spoke with neighbors who heard the gunfire and they ran out to see what happened. They are in shock. They are relieved that the officer is all right. Heres i say one neighbor speaking
