They can afford 2500 a month. So, were basically giving a developer several stories, be able to displace a Small Business permanently, and for what . For a few thousand Affordable Housing . Thats just not a tradeoff uncomfortable with. Our Small Businesses are always touted as the heart of the city. Its not acceptable for them to be pushed out in order to allow developers to make basically 80 nonAffordable Housing. Yes, we need housing but this is not the way to do it. Yes, i feel its not consistent with the title of the legislation and the overall goal of the legislation. I would like to see if theres any room for negotiation on that piece.
