Author Angus Fletcher will discuss his new book “Wonderworks: The 25 Most Powerful Inventions in the History of Literature” during an online event at 5 p.m., Thursday, March 18, sponsored by the Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books.
“Wonderworks” provides a unique examination of literary inventions through the ages, showing how writers have created technical breakthroughs rivaling any scientific inventions for the human heart and mind. Fletcher reviews the blueprints for 25 of the most powerful developments in the history of literature which can be scientifically shown to alleviate grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, pessimism and ennui – all while sparking creativity, courage, hope, joy and positive change.
