I am delighted to host and moderate todays discussion with these three highly accomplished authors each of whose current book i highly recommend to you, by the way. Here is how it will work. After i introduce the panelists, i ask a couple questions of each of them and then one question for the entire panel and then we will take questions from the audience. For nearly four decades as a reporter for the Chicago Daily news, james covered the principal institutions of the federal government with special emphasis on war and conflict which he covered in more than 30 countries. Molly worked as a reporter for 30 years including 14 years at the Washington Post. After her husbands death in 2011 molly continued the research and writing of the book he was working on in his retirement. Americas war
