Animal welfare standards and practices are continuing to evolve as science and technology advances.
South Australian-based wool broker, Rod Miller, has been in the industry for the last 40 years, starting his career as a teenager.
Mr Miller said consumer sentiment toward the way sheep were bred and treated drove methodology on many farms around the country. Over the years visiting properties, particularly stations, you would see the old plunge dip, he said.
