Merry Christmas from Rockhampton Regional Council
Everyone at Rockhampton Regional Council would like to wish the community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Although 2020 has been a year like no other, it hasn’t been all bad: check out our Year in Review video on our Facebook page.
Most of our offices and services will adjust their opening hours from 3pm on Christmas Eve until Monday 4 January, but the Zoo will be open every day apart from Christmas Day and waste and recycling collections will continue as normal. ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council began the year with Margaret Strelow as mayor and despite being voted back to the table at the March election, the orgainsation is seeing the year out with a mayoral vacancy.
Looking back over 2020 with Mrs Strelowâs shock resignation and the COVID-19 global pandemic, it has been quite a year to remember.
