According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, Australia was the 9th largest seafood import market of Vietnam in 2018. In 2022, 4 years after the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) took effect, Australia has risen to the 6th largest single import market of Vietnamese seafood.
The Governor-General of Australia Gen. David Hurley is scheduled to arrive in Hanoi on April 3, beginning a four-day State-level visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong.
