WARSAW — A Perry man was sentenced to a state prison term for being high on drugs and alcohol when he drove into a Wyoming County sheriff’s deputy patrol car.
A Hopkinsville man was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Friday while at Fort Campbell Boulevard on drug charges following a traffic stop, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.
The report states officers stopped a vehicle on Fort Campbell for excessive window tint, to which police reportedly could not see inside the vehicle.
The vehicle was also observed at a known drug activity area, according to the report.
As police stopped the vehicle, the passenger in the vehicle, Austin M. Gardner, 22, Hopkinsville, allegedly attempted to exit the vehicle, but was stopped by officers, the report said.
The driver of the vehicle, Allan J. Stott, 22, Hopkinsville,, reportedly had a strong odor of marijuana coming from his person.
