Three enter pleas in court By Abigail Miller - DarkeCountyMedia.com Bright GREENVILLE Three people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Monday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided. Stephen D. Bright, 41, of Piqua, appeared in court via video uplink from the Darke County Jail for a motion to revoke probation, due to a failure to report and violating laws in both Darke County and Montgomery County. Bright was on probation for one count of trafficking heroin, a fifth-degree felony. The court entered a denial on behalf of Bright and has required he retain counsel within 10 days. Bright was released on his own recognizance with his probable cause hearing set for June 7.

Court hears burglary, assault, weapons charges Yount GREENVILLE Six people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided. Austin A. Littlepage, 24, of Greenville, was arraigned on one count of burglary, a second-degree felony. If convicted, Littlepage faces a maximum prison sentence of 8 to 12 years and a maximum fine of $15,000. He pleaded not guilty, was released on an OR bond, and retained his previous attorney. His next appearance is scheduled for March 4. Dustin C. Yount, 36, of New Madison, appeared in court for a change of plea and pleaded guilty to two separate charges. The first, aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, is punishable by a maximum prison term of 11 to 16.5 years and a maximum fine of $20,000. A prison term is presumed necessary for this charge. Court hears assault, trespassing charges Littlepage GREENVILLE Four people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court Monday and Tuesday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided. Ricky J. Martin, 33, of Greenville, was sentenced to 12 months incarceration with the ODRC, with 87 days credited, for a previous conviction for assaulting a peace officer, a fourth-degree felony. Upon his release, Martin faces an optional three-year period of post-release control. Lucas J. Hammaker, 27, of Greenville, pleaded guilty to one count of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. This charge was amended from domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, as part of a plea agreement. He faces a maximum prison sentence of 6 months, and a maximum fine of $1,000, neither of which are mandatory. Hammaker was represented in court by David Rohrer and is currently out on an OR bond.
