Heres susan powell. Increasingly cold in the days ahead, and along with the cold, we will also see a greater risk of some disruptive snow, particularly come the weekend. Here we are at the moment, with the coldest air sitting across scotland. But look what happens in the days ahead. There is a little bit of a battle there on friday with a milder air from the continent. Saturday and sunday, though, that Colder Siberian Air sinks all the way across the uk. This evening and overnight, snow largely confined to scotland, to the hills and mountains, some at lower levels but more a mixture of rain or sleet here. Some snow working further south into the pennines, quite wet across Northern England and for Northern Ireland. A widespread frost for scotland and Northern Ireland, but notably milder to the south of the uk. Through thursday, more snow across scotland.
