crisis in libya. the bloody conflict continues to grow. now the rebels are pleading for help. hello again. i m jessica kartalija. here s what people are talking about today. the international community is still considering its options as the fighting intensifies in libya. we ll have more on the conflict. but we begin with randall pinkston reporting from the united nations. reporter: libyan rebels continue to fight forces loyal to moammar gadhafi, but warplanes pounded rebel positions, a strategic oil port. the rebels are becoming more frustrated and angry as they try to remove cad dprad power. but in defiant speeches, gadhafi is promising supporters he will never end libya. his advisers say reports that gadhafi has offered to step down is nonsense. reporter: britain and france want the u.n. to establish a no-fly zone. britain s foreign minister calls it a realistic and practical possibility but says it must have international support into clearly the opposition forces i

tuesday, march 8, 2011. we begin with our weather. conditions look pretty good now but changes are on the way. they include enough rain to prompt a flood wash. tom kiernan joins us with his forecast which includes more rain and when. we had rain sunday. we sure did. we may get double that thursday. we had an inch and a half sunday. we could get up to three inches during the day thursday. a flood watch in effect this far ahead to give you a heads up. it doesn t take effect until tomorrow night and into thursday. but that watch is now making us aware that we do, indeed have this potential for some serious flooding here during the day thursday. right now, though, off to a dry start and around the region, temperatures have climbed into the 40 s 48 at reagan national. we re in the mid-40s throughout most of the region. and we have it now still rather cold out in the mountains. it s in the upper 30s to mid-30s there. around the bay, eastern shore, it s in the mid-40s. central
