CLEVELAND, Ohio The signing period for international free agents was moved from July 2 to Friday because of the pandemic. The Indians certainly weren’t idle between then and now as they announced the signing of 15 players on Friday evening.
Among the top signings were Dominican shortstops Angel Genoa and Fran Alduey. Genoa signed for $1.175 million and Alduey for $1.2 million. In mlb.com’s ranking of the top 100 international free agents, they were Nos. 23 and 25, respectively.
