Among one of the biggest Aussie Hottest 100 countdowns ever, Spacey Jane have been voted – by you – as having the Hottest Australian song of 2020.
The Freo foursome’s ‘Booster Seat’ made it all the way to #2 in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020, the highest placing of the countdown’s 66 Australian songs.
Spiralling around the rise and fall of a trilling guitar hook, the mellow ‘Booster Seat’ deals with “feeling like anxiety and depression are taking control away from you,” frontman Caleb Harper explained to triple j’s Richard Kingsmill in 2020. “I drew on feelings of my childhood and those vulnerabilities you have and how they’re still very relevant today.”
