With 567 more patients succumbing to the viral infection, the overall toll mounted to 70,851, the state health department said. On 3 April, Maharashtra had reported 49,447 infections. On 1 and 2 April, 43,183 and 47,827 cases were added, respectively. The state had reported an average of 60,000 cases in most of April. Of the 567 fatalities, 283 had occurred in the last 48 hours.

The Bombay High Court on Monday said that people adhere to the COVID-19 protocols by practicing restraint and discipline before blaming the government.   |  27 April 2021 10:35 AM GMT Maharashtra- The Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court said on Monday told the people to first adhere to the COVID-19 protocols and then blame the government. This statement came while the high court was passing various directions as to how to tackle the pandemic. A division bench of Justices Ravindra Ghuge and BU Debadwar instructed the people, including public servants not on duty and the doctors and paramedical staff to carry their Aadhar cards while leaving their homes and also told them to wear masks.

A division bench of Justices Ravindra Ghuge and B U Debadwar directed that all persons, including public servants not on duty and doctors and paramedical staff, carry their Aadhaar cards while stepping out of their homes and also wear masks.
