Myanmar s ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been formally charged with possessing imported walkie-talkies and handshaking during the Covid pandemic, two days after she was detained in a coup. Police said they discovered the walkie-talkies during a search of Ms Suu Kyi s home in Yangon, where she has been locked up since the military seized control on Monday. Ms Suu Kyi, who has not been seen since the coup took place, has been remanded in custody until at least February 15 while investigations are carried out - and could be jailed for a maximum of two years if found guilty.
