THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Friday that Mayon Volcano in Albay, currently under Alert Level 3, continues to emit higher sulphur dioxide (SO2) gas as well as rock fall events during the past 24-hour period.
PART of the national government s long-term plan for the evacuees currently affected by the eruption of Mayon Volcano is to permanently relocate those living inside or near the permanent danger zone, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.
