Katie McCormick, a member of the Board of Education, left Wednesday night's meeting instead of voting on the spending plan, saying said she did not have enough time to review the budget that had been sent to the board later than in past years.
Though most school budgets are still being finalized, officials have signaled their intent to use funding from the state's recent calculation error to reduce the amount they must ask municipalities to raise through taxes.
