and that was the special election for ten kennedy second see, following his death in august of 2000. this was massachusetts, it s a state that similar to california and how dame accredited stemming that it s an enduring democratic stronghold. ted kennedy, was basically the kind of patriarch of the democratic party the, last a living sign of those brothers. and it made the republicans victory over the democrat even more earth shattering. a development that may affect this nation s foreign policy, health care policy, perhaps the remainder of the obama presidency. it s hard to believe it happens on the one year anniversary of the swearing in of president obama. it s almost like a hollywood plot tests. the name martha quickly may someday be a footnote in history, but in washington today, for the president, she stood for a symbol of voter anger. scott brown, winning ten kennedys liberal massachusetts
