Members of the full committee who are not members of the subcommittee on terrorism may participate in todays hearing. All members will have five minutes to submit extraneous materials for inclusion in the record. This hearing is titled the exploitation of Cultural Property, examining illegal activity and antiquities and art trade. Now recognize myself or two minutes to give an opening statement. Most of the statement will be presented into the record but to talk about the nature of the sale of historical artifacts, archaeological artifacts, the isis groups are now destroying entire Cultural Properties and putting them on the market for sale, many times the money goes into terrorism.
