Belarus and Russia's Tambov Oblast have achieved record-high results in mutual trade, but bilateral cooperation should be raised to an even higher level, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Tambov Oblast Governor Maxim Yegorov in Minsk on 29 August.
The parties discussed the development of political dialogue, trade and economic interaction and humanitarian cooperation, organization of mutual visits.
The regular meeting of the CIS plenipotentiaries is taking place at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on 29 August. The plenipotentiaries are expected to discuss the progress in the implementation of the action plan to hold the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication in the CIS in 2023.
As of 29 August, 95.5% of the area under grain and leguminous crops and about 90% of the area under rapeseed was cleared in Belarus. A total of 6,955,000 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, was cropped. This includes 6,015,000 tonnes of grain and leguminous crops and about 940,000 tonnes of rapeseed.
According to him, the revenues of the national budget are higher than expenditures by about Br2 billion, and the revenues of regional budgets outstrip expenditures by Br1.5-1.6 billion.
