Audubon Pennsylvania merged with Maryland-DC unit Updated Feb 25, 2021; The National Audubon Society has merged Audubon Pennsylvania and Audubon Maryland-DC into the Audubon Mid-Atlantic regional office, under new executive director Suzanne Biemiller. Biemiller, who is now also vice president at the national organization, joined Audubon after founding the policy-focused consulting firm Highland Strategies and serving as first deputy chief of staff in the administration of former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter. According to Audubon, in her new post Biemiller “will build on the successful on-the-ground efforts in Pennsylvania and Maryland to develop a large-scale conservation vision for the Mid-Atlantic, a critically important region for bird species traveling along the Atlantic Flyway.”
