Some Bucks County residents who were set to be among the first to receive vaccines at the county’s clinics today were notified in an email Monday night that they will not be able to get the shot as scheduled.
The county notified an unknown number of residents that their appointments, some set for as early as today, would need to be rescheduled due to an error when they registered on the county website, according to emails sent to this news organization.
The county on Tuesday explained the problem was caused by people sharing their individual appointment links with others, and in some cases, those links being shared on social media, resulting in overbooking and some who are not eligible getting appointments they should not have had.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA Three COVID vaccination clinics officially open in Bucks County on Tuesday at all three Bucks County Community College campuses. The clinics collectively will administer 600 initial doses of Moderna vaccine per day by appointment to people eligible for the 1A phase of Pennsylvania s vaccine rollout. They will operate Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., contingent on adequate supplies of vaccine, at the campuses in Bristol, Newtown and Perkasie.

Bucks County will open at least six vaccination sites, and officials say they are ready with locations and staff, but without supply they remain at a standstill for rolling out widespread public inoculations.
At its meeting Wednesday, the Bucks County Commissioners urged patience and again explained that the county does not control vaccine supply or distribution. Officials said once the county gets more supply, it will be ready to vaccinate more in Phase 1A of the state s rollout plan.
Eventually, it hopes to vaccinate about 5,000 people a day once all sites are up and running, said Diane Ellis-Marseglia, commissioner chairwoman, after the meeting..
