Large fire burns $1 million worth of equipment Published by admin on Wed, 02/03/2021 - 8:41am By:  Editor A structure fire on a farm north of Benton City Wednesday evening destroyed an estimated $1 million worth of equipment. Little Dixie Fire Protection District Chief Bill Albus said flames had already enveloped the machine shed when the call went out. Fire crews could only try to knock down the blaze to keep it from spreading to nearby outbuildings. When firefighters arrived flames roared from one end of the building to the other. It took crews from Little Dixie and the Martinsburg Fire Department 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which left little standing.
