I have no handover notes for you – Domelevo tells Audit Board [ARTICLE]

The embattled former A-G described the directive and request from the Audit Service Board as ‘preposterous’. In a letter dated March 17, and addressed to Chairman of the Audit Service Board, Prof Edward Dua Agyeman, Mr Domelevo explained that in June 2020, he handed over his duties to the Deputy Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu. “I prepared a handing-over note and handed over to the Acting Auditor-General on 30th June 2020 and he has been in charge for over 8 months.” “When I resumed work on the 3rd of March 2021, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu did not hand over to me with the excuse that the handing-over note was not ready,” Mr. Domelevo noted.

Akufo Addo s Anti-Corruption Credibility In Tatters-Afrobarometer founder

Co-founder of Afrobarometer and the Centre For Democratic Development (CDD) Professor Emmanuel Gyimah-Boadi has flayed President Akufo Addo for the curious treatment meted out to Ghana’s immediate past Auditor-General, Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo. Professor Boadi describes the act as “shameful.” Professor Boadi’s opinion carries significant weight, having helped set up the non-partisan pan-African research institution (Afrobarometer) that conducts public attitude surveys on democracy, governance, the economy and society in Africa. “As for the President’s [Akufo-Addo] credibility in terms of anti-corruption, I’m afraid to say it is in tatters. It has been in tatters for a while but this puts a nail in the coffin,” Prof Gyimah-Boadi slammed the President.
