messy trials. charlie rangle is never shy around a microphone but lately he s tight-lipped. now all of a sudden he s speaking out. we ve chased him all over capitol hill and he s given us different versions of no comment but he hates it. this weekend he defended himself, tweeting an audio response about what is going on. here s a portion of what that had to say. i really believe i made some difference in the congress and i just won t stop fighting until i ve had a fair, open hearing. thank you for your support and i won t let you down. you house is in recess, so if either of two goes to the public trial, it won t be until september or october. i think rangle exceeded the number of characters on twitter but that said, the g.o.p. had plenty to say about the ethics issues. any chance it could backfire on republicans? you know, they ve got to be careful.
