and actresses dream about. they have taken the term business and taken it to a new level. they are doing branding deals on a scale that entertainers never knew existed. they re bigger than your regular celebrity, who you see walking the red carpet. they are the stars. - four decades under its belt, unscripted has been able to not only prove that it s here to stay, but it has soared above the criticism. it has soared above the doubts of commercial success. - a half a cup. - can i pour that? - [martha] yeah, half a cup. - that just feels like i m supposed to pour this. - [martha] okay. (audience claps) we did things that give people that little spark or that little laugh when they came home. - oprah plans to end her syndicated talk show in 2011. - i ve decided that next season, season 25, will be the last season of the oprah winfrey show . - when oprah left the talk show scene, there was a massive void. she paved the way for tyra banks and queen latifah to try out the talk show genre. - can i put my sexy face on? - [audience member] oh yeah. (audience cheering) - wanda gets on stage completely unapologetic. i am a black woman who is a lesbian. - and if you believe that it s a choice, then you re saying that straight people are straight because they chose not to be gay. right? (audience clapping) and i m sure a lot of straight guys in here, you know, i m talking about em. sure there s, on several occasions, you know, you probably think, you know, i think i m gonna suck a (beep) today. (audience laughing) - laughter is healing, laughter purifies the air. actually i don t like to talk about the races, because i m white. - and we, as black people, have been doing it forever. - i am, this is a freckle. (audience laughing) - all black comedians discuss race. - it s harder being gay than it is being black. i didn t have to come out black. (audience laughing) - we have to address our pain to make you laugh, and so that we could get through it. - mom, i m black. oh, no, l
