People are rethinking or cancelling the installation of gas cookers, heating and hot water heating in their homes since the draft report of the Climate Change Commission was released this week. Master Plumbers chief executive Greg Wallace said he had messages from hundreds of members saying customers were reviewing their decisions on installing gas hot water, central heating and cooking appliances following the release of the draft report. “We’ve had gasfitters with hot water systems cancelled this week, gas hobs cancelled and central heating systems all cancelled on the back of a draft report that the Government’s put out for feedback.”
