The first prosecution witness, Olusegun Falola, in the ongoing trial of Ismaila Yousouf Atumeyi, a Kogi State House of Assembly candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and two others has told the court how N681 million was paid into the politician’s business account. The witness told Justice Tijani Ringim of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos how the sum was paid into Atumeyi’s account. Atumeyi is the Kogi State House of Assembly candidate of the NNPP for Ankpa 11 Constituency.
