Charge dropped against former Weston schools employee accused of stealing gas

STAMFORD A larceny charge was dropped against the former transportation coordinator for Weston Public Schools in Superior Court on Thursday, nearly two years after he was first accused of stealing gas from the school district.
Prosecutors dismissed the lone count of second-degree larceny against David Lustberg, 57, after he successfully completed a probation program granted in December 2019.
Attorney Guy Soares, who represented Lustberg, did not respond to requests for comment Thursday after the hearing in Superior Court in Stamford.

The attorney for Michelle Troconis filed a series of new motions this week seeking the family psychological report done as part of the Jennifer and Fotis Dulos divorce and custody battle while also trying to compel a court reporter to provide a transcript of a hearing on the report.

NORWALK, Conn. Norwalk Police have arrested two members of their own department.
Officers Michael DiMeglio, 38, and Sara Laudano, 31, surrendered themselves Tuesday evening at Norwalk Police Headquarters and were served with arrest warrants stemming from an incident which occurred in October, a press release said. Both were charged with larceny second degree and reckless endangerment second degree. Laudano was also charged with risk of injury to a child. Both had bonds of $70,000 each.
Police say they were unable to locate Laudano at 12:47 a.m. Oct. 10 and subsequently found her and DiMeglio in a room at the Even Hotel at 426 Main Ave. “The officers were not in a condition to respond to calls for service,” the press release said.

Earlier this evening, Officers Michael Dimeglio, an 8 year member of this department, and Sara Laudano, a 5 year member of this department, surrendered themselves at Norwalk Police Headquarters and were served with arrest warrants stemming from an incident that occurred on October 10, 2020.
On October 10, 2020, both officers were working in the Patrol Division. At about 12:47am, Norwalk Police Dispatch could not raise Officer Laudano on the police radio nor could they reach her on her cell phone. The Automatic Vehicle Locating system, (AVL) was checked and her vehicle was located on the map in the area of 426 Main Avenue.

NORWALK, CT Two Norwalk police officers were arrested Tuesday night after they were found together at a hotel when they were supposed to be working the night shift, according to authorities.
Officer Michael Dimeglio, an eight-year member of the department, and Officer Sara Laudano, a five-year member of the department, surrendered at Norwalk Police Headquarters Tuesday after warrants were issued for them.
