Circuit Judge L. Wayne Farmer gave Hadsell the maximum allowed for each charge he was convicted of, including first-degree murder, concealing a dead body, and possessing drugs in jail.
The jury deliberated for about 40 minutes before returning the guilty verdict. The trial was held in Southampton County, where the body of Anjelica “A.J.” Hadsell was found dumped behind an abandoned home in April 2015.
