Prosecutors dropped charges against two hospital employees in the case of a man who died after being pinned to the floor during his admission to a psychiatric hospital in Virginia.
The two were both employees of Central State Hospital, where Otieno died on March 6. Otieno was a 28-year-old Black man suffering a mental health episode who was detained and then arrested by Henrico police in early March. Days later, he died while being restrained by a combination of deputies and hospital employees.
