MS tornadoes: 4 confirmed tornadoes caused tree damage during storms

The National Weather Service s Jackson office on Tuesday confirmed four twisters hit the state Friday night and early Saturday morning. Meteorologist Latrice Maxie said there were no injuries or deaths reported from the tornadoes, although the system did cause some damage to homes and sheds from downed trees. An EF0 touched down just west of Pelahatchie in Rankin County Friday evening bringing wind speeds of up to 76 mph. The tornado traveled northward for just over 11 miles before lifting into the sky.  An EF1 tornado was confirmed to have traveled through the city of Kosciusko in Attala County Friday evening. The tornado had peak wind speeds of 95 mph and traveled less than a mile.
