J-K Police busts terrorist hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen in Awantipora ANI | Updated: Mar 03, 2021 14:36 IST Awantipora (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], March 3 (ANI): A terrorist hideout of proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen was busted and destroyed in Awantipora, police said on Wednesday. Upon information of terrorist hideout in the forest area of Seer/Pastoona, Police along with 42 RR and 180 Bn CRPF launched a search operation in the said area. During search one hideout of the proscribed outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen was busted and subsequently destroyed, read a release by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The police said the size of the hideout is approximately 5 feetx7 feetx4 feet.

Mar 03, 2021, 17:57 PM IST Kashmir: A terrorist hideout in the forest area of Seer/Pastoona was busted by a police team along with 42 RR and 180 Bn CRPF on Wednesday. After receiving information about terrorist hideout, a joint search and operation in the said area was launched.  Confirming the development, the police said that during the search, one hideout of the proscribed outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen was busted and subsequently destroyed.  Also, incriminating material of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and other material like utensils, food items etc has been recovered. All materials have been taken into police custody for further investigation. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station in Tral.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, the arrested person identified as Muzamil Qadir Bhat, a resident of Larow Jageer area of Tral. He is an overground worker (OGW) of the JeM. 5 terror associates held for threat posters in J K s Tral-ANI

Awantipora (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 16 (ANI): Five terror associates have been arrested on Saturday in a case regarding pasting of threat posters in Seer and Batagund villages of Tral, said Jammu and Kashmir Police. On January 13, 2021, some threat posters of the terror outfit were found pasted in Seer and Batagund villages of Tral area. Upon the said incident case FIR No. 04/2021 under relevant sections of Unlawful Activities Act stands lodged in Police Station Tral, read the release by the police During the course of the investigation, the investigating team raided multiple places and rounded up several suspects. During the questioning of suspects and collection of other evidence, 5 terror associates were found to be involved in the pasting of the said threat posters in Seer and Batagund area and were accordingly arrested in the said case, the police said.

A police spokesman said around noon unidentified militants threw a grenade at the Bus Stand Tral area in Pulwama’s Awantipora.   “Preliminary investigation revealed that terrorists hurled a grenade upon vehicle of 3rd Bn of the ITBP. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the road. In this incident, eight civilians received splinter injuries,” the police spokesman said.     The police said it registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. “Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this terror crime,” the police said.
