Atos Hires Former Avanade Veteran As New North American CEO

French solutions provider Atos has a new North America CEO – the third in just less than a year for the division, which generated about $3.2 billion in annual revenue last year or nearly a quarter of the company’s overall revenue.
Avanade and IBM veteran Dave Seybold is now leading Atos North America, replacing former CEO Bryan Ireton, who took the role last June 1 after serving as Atos’ senior vice president in charge of infrastructure and data management for North America.

French solution provider Atos took a big stock hit today after disclosing that auditors discovered accounting errors at two of its U.S. subsidiaries.
Shares of the Bezons, France-based company fell the most in almost 2.5 years, dropping more than 21.6 percent to a low of 52.14 euros on the Paris Euronext Market before closing at 58.26 euros, down 12.4 percent.
The accounting errors were tied to the U.S.-based Atos IT Solutions and Services and Atos IT Outsourcing Services, which represent 11 percent of Atos’ 2020 revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2020, and 9 percent of its operating margin.

The French systems integrator giant and Europe’s sole hyper-scale say they have developed cloud transformation capabilities and services for enterprises and the public sector that comply with EU privacy regulations like GDPR.
Using Atos OneCloud and OVHcloud’s cloud solutions partners and customers will have access to a joint network of more than 130 datacentres to host dedicated private environments.
Both companies are founding members of GAIA‑X, the European Association for Data and Cloud, which was founded last year.
