NXT Tag Team Champion Big Kon (fka Konnor of The Ascension) returned to
The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast ahead of his Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling tag team title match against The Headbangers on February 19th. Big Kon noted to Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman his own personal history with The Headbangers as well as his idea at one point to form a faction with them.
“It’s really cool too because I’ve known Chaz (Mosh) since 2003,” Big Kon said. “So we have some history, and of course, back in 2017 they came in. We actually tried to pitch a faction with them because we were unsure if they were going to be with us at time or not. I love both of those guys. They’re really tight with my family.

The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast. Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Vik about how The Ascension’s WWE contracts changed when they got called up from
NXT.
“I made so much more money that first year. It was great,” Vik expressed. “So a lot of people back then used to get to double dip. You wouldn’t sign a new contract yet, but you would get a month or two on the road usually where your hotels and cars were taken care of, and you would get paid per show that you were doing or whatever. But then you’d still make whatever you were making in

Teal, the daughter of the late WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper, discussed her relationship with former WWE Women’s Champion and wrestling pioneer Chyna. While Teal did not get to know Chyna well, she emphasized the Ninth Wonder of the World’s close relationship with her father.
“We’ve obviously known her for a while, my dad and her were very close,” Piper said. “He reached out to her a lot, especially in later years. When my dad passed, we had this funeral out in Oregon out in the middle of nowhere. Like, you really had to want to get there. She was one of the people who made sure she showed up. She was always super supportive and super loving with me and my siblings. She was just one of the most kind-hearted people I think I’ve ever met.
