Then again, if you want to “hug your granny without killing her,” the University of Leeds “specialist in airborne infections” has you covered. this ridiculous “glimmer of hope” [sarc], compliments of the British government: “Government advice not to hug people might be lifted this month, but how safe is it?” There it is. Who’d a thunk it? A government telling the citizenry when it’s okay to hug loved ones and when it’s not. En masse. One size fits all. Nothing authoritarian about that at all.

Hillcest Center for the Arts Presents Live Streaming Stand Up Comedy

Hillcrest Center for the Arts THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Live Standup Comedy on the Hill returns Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the 8:00 pm. live via Zoom or YouTube Live.  February’s lineup includes Amanda Cohen, Tony Dijamco, Tommy Savitt and Auggie Smith.  Professional local comedian Jason Love hosts and produces this monthly show in collaboration with the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.                Amanda Cohen is a middle-age single woman who claims to be a “fearless feminist with a sharp sense of irony”.  After a career hosting comedy shows in the 90s, she took a break from standup to attend the Second City Conservatory and study improvisation and sketch writing. She returned to standup in 2015 and moved from Chicago to Los Angeles where she is now a regular at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, as a performer and Zoom producer.
