colleague, helen briggs report, as you point out, images of galaxies that we have complete never thought we were able to see in our lifetimes, all of this of course thanks to the james webb space telescope. where do you see it being put to use next, and what other work do you think it could be applied to? applied to? well, it can be a- lied applied to? well, it can be applied to applied to? well, it can be applied to many applied to? well, it can be applied to many of - applied to? well, it can be applied to many of the - applied to? well, it can be l applied to many of the solar system objects and, of course, to the universe, but we are quite interested in the planets, in our solar system, satellites and a small objects, and the data that we now have in hand ofjupiter will tell us a lots aboutjupiter itself, about the atmospheric dynamics, interplay between chemistry and bombardment by charged particles from outside of the atmosphere, from its magnetic fields. we really will lear

CTI Innovation Awards spur new learning opportunities

Chris Domkoski/Center for Teaching Innovation A student works on a Jupyter Notebooks assignment in the Atmospheric Dynamics in Motion class taught by Peter Hitchcock and Mark Wysocki of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. CTI Innovation Awards spur new learning opportunities December 15, 2020 Giving students the tools to respond positively to adversity is a critical part of preparing them for their future careers, and is one of the main missions of the Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI). Each year, CTI grants funding through the Innovative Teaching & Learning Awards to help faculty explore new strategies and tools for enhancing student learning experiences at Cornell. The 2019-20 award recipients faced extraordinary challenges, given the changing landscape of the ongoing pandemic. Their flexibility and improvisation helped create new opportunities with a lasting impact on teaching at Cornell.
