2021 just keeps looking up. Atlanta’s post-pandemic Pride Month calendar adds some old favorites and new events to celebrate a safety-cautious return to semi normalcy.
The growing list of LGBTQ events which already slated Evening For Equality on June 17 and the Atlanta Pride Run & Walk on June 20 now includes an Atlanta Pride party at Georgia Aquarium, as well as Pride Night with the Atlanta Braves and with its Triple-A affiliate the Gwinnett Stripers.
Calling 2020 a fundraising “bust,” Atlanta Pride on Thursday announced its attempt to start recouping with a fresh twist on a tried-and-true idea: an aquarium party on June 25. But Out Night at Georgia Aquarium is different in many ways than the raucous annual Pride Kickoff Party. Pride calls it a “softer, lighter and more exclusive version” of that event.
