Atlanta, Ga., Selects Jason Sankey as Permanent CIO
Former Ohio agency CIO Jason Sankey brings both public- and private-sector experience to his new role as CIO for the city of Atlanta. The city’s previous CIO, Gary Brantley, stepped down in November 2020.

Shutterstock Former Ohio agency CIO Jason Sankey is now CIO of Atlanta, Ga., Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced yesterday.
Sankey replaces Tye Hayes, who served as interim CIO following the departure of Gary Brantley in November 2020.
Most recently, Sankey served as CIO for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. In this role, he helped align the department’s websites with the InnovateOhio Platform to improve citizens’ government experience.
