IAM Sold Property Auctions, who run the Leinster, Munster, Connacht and Northern Ireland Property Auction say they have seen stock levels increase gradually over the past month up 4.5% from last month but still down 29% on same period last year.
Patrick Folan of The Leinster Property Auction commented; “since reopening for viewings on May 10, we are seeing extraordinarily strong market conditions with enquiry levels remaining strong up 95% on levels when compared with last year. With stock still relatively low, there are more buyers looking to secure the available properties which is resulting in strong bidding on majority of the properties we are selling.”

While all eyes will be on the long-awaited reopening of non-essential retail next Monday, Grafton Street in Dublin will be without a Tommy Hilfiger store.
Having remained closed since last Christmas due to Covid-19 restrictions, the US fashion retailer has decided to shut its flagship premises permanently.
While the impact of the pandemic is believed to have influenced the move to a certain degree, it is understood that the company has decided to exercise the 15-year break option on its 25-year lease 12 months early.

Bank of Irelandconfirmed on Monday it is closing 103 branches on the island of Ireland, reducing its network in the Republic by about a third and its locations in the North by more than half, as Covid-19 has accelerated a shift in the industry towards digital banking.
Essential businesses that have been allowed to open in Dublin city centre are at risk of collapse, traders warn, because tourist and worker footfall has collapsed but they are still not allowed avail of the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme.
