News Former Athletes’ Commission President Giba was elected as Secretary The FIVB today announced the results of the first-ever FIVB Athletes’ Commission presidential elections with Dutch beach volleyball player, Madelein Meppelink, being chosen by members to lead the  Commission for the next four years. Meppelink, a two-time Olympian (London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016), two-time European Champion (2014, 2018), former world number one ranked beach volleyball player (2013) and a Corrientes Grand Slam winner (2013), received a majority of votes cast. The elections were conducted through a secure Lumi voting platform with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) acting as scrutineers.
