Updated: 7:00 AM CDT May 21, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital A senior at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, received the surprise of her life Wednesday when her father, a member of the Army National Guard who is deployed, came home to attend her high school graduation.Elli Garcia was walking out of the Taylorville Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa when she noticed her dad, Maj. Jason Garcia, among dozens of loved ones waiting for her.Her brother, Second Lt. Alex Garcia, also serves in the military and is an infantry officer at Fort Benning in Georgia.Elli will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall.Watch the sweet reunion in the video above.
